Meet the Ponders
We are Don and Claudette Ponder, we have been married since October 1993 and are both lifetime residents of this area. Don has been blessed to have lived on this land all of his life and has experienced many adventures here.
Vision for Living Water Retreat
Our vision to build these cabins started with a hayride around our property, then a picnic by the creek for a special group of ladies from a church in Texas. These ladies and, of course the Lord, opened our eyes to the beauty and peacefulness of this creek and its surrounds--things we were taking for granted. This made us realize the need other folks have for a quiet, refreshing place like this! A place where you can come and enjoy what God has blessed us with which we enjoy every day.
Wholesome Family Environment
Our Goal is to provide a clean, wholesome, family atmosphere where you can come and have a great time whether it be for rest or play!
Southern Gospel Porch Concerts
We love our Lord Jesus Christ and enjoy playing and singing Southern Gospel music. So, bring along your musical instruments and I bet you can talk Don into getting out his guitar and we will have a good ole’ time playing and singing on the front porch or around the campfire.
